Nanette Vitale, MSW, LCSW is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and a certified supervisor for post graduate Social Workers and Mental Health Counselors. Nanette has been privileged to provide individual, group and family therapy, while supervising Master Social Work students and post graduate Social Workers in order for them to achieve degrees and licensure. Nanette is a Graduate of Barry University where she achieved a Master of Social Work with a concentration in Mental Health and Substance Abuse.
Nanette completed her graduate program at the Veterans Administration Hospital in West Palm Beach where she provided assessment, individual and group therapy for Veterans and their families in various capacities for the hospital, including the mental health clinic, day treatment programs and the acute psychiatric floor.
For the past few years, Nanette led the therapeutic department as a primary psychotherapist and was promoted to Clinical Director for a group home serving adolescents in foster care and their families in Palm Beach County.
Upon completing her Bachelor of Social Work, she provided intensive counseling and case management for the Department of Children and Families for those that became involved with the State of Florida due to abuse, neglect and abandonment. In addition, her experiential background as a volunteer and undergraduate practicum was in the field of addictions.
In her current practice she provides assessment, individual, couples and family therapy, life skills and career coaching. Her areas of practice include adolescent and adult clients who suffer from Mood, Anxiety, Phobias Disorders, Behavioral disorders such as Attention Deficit/Hyperactivity and Oppositional Defiance Disorders and in relapse prevention and recovery. She is a professional whose trusting, supportive, caring and empowering approach will provide an engaging atmosphere for healing and change.
